Scrooge

by Flying Phoenix   Dec 2, 2006

Christmas is coming
You feel it in the air
That rippling tension
Invisible snare
Once again that time of joy
Peace and love surround
But who thought of the others
Poor, alone, no love found
Happiness reflects on what
We have not
If you are alone
Christmas can be forgot

All it does
Is remind me of pain
Years when I was younger
Happy and game
Yet now I've grown
And Christmas has lost its charm
No more magic or love
Peace or calm

Scrooge you may say
But "bar humbug" to you lot
Whilst there's singing and dancing
My heart does rot
