The Fight, Hope

by Marc Carlson   Dec 2, 2006

The Fight, Hope
Have You ever fought so something you believed?
Have You ever been willing to do anything for it?
Have You ever just taken that chance?
You Put yourself out there and hoped
Hope for the best, but willing to take the truth?
Hoping for your true feelings to mean something?

But what is enough? When is it enough?
When do you just have to give up on what you want?
Or do you just fight till there is no fight anymore?
What is enough in this fight to continue?
Is just saying what you mean enough?
What about telling your true feelings?
What about telling them what they mean to you?

I know in the end it is not my decision
But that doesn't mean I have to like it
And I will respect the final decision, either way
And there will only be one of two reactions to this decision
One will be obvious, one I will try to hold back from you
And from that point on are lives will change entirely
For better or worse, we can still live it to the best we can

How long will I wait for this decision?
I don't want to wait forever, but willing to wait
And if the decision is made in my favor
I'm willing to wait for years till it is ready
Good things come to those who wait
And to wait for the greatest thing on earth is worth it
