This demented universe

Is this the demented universe we live in?
or is it just our own sick redeniton of life?
is this the path we were meant to follow?
a tunnel without a light?
a world where men beat the ones they love
and we turn a blind eye
a world where the murder of a innocent person
is forgotten by a bribe?
a world where brothers become worste enemies and would rather stand against the other instead of side by side
a world where the way of survival
is determined by deceit, blackmail and lies.
a world where wars are waged, blood shed and lives lost
a world where you have no friends
and peace is a lost cause
a world where seeing someone die, its the day to day agenda
where seeing someone lose their mind, is no longer an odd propaganda.
is this what it has come to
