The Moment of Truth

by Amani   Dec 4, 2006

When all man kind
Start to get along
When all the fighting
Begins to cease
When people start to realize
When they're wrong
And struggle to create
World peace

When all the discrimination
And racism stop when hurting People
Comes to an end
When negotiating
Overcomes arguing
When all humans
Become friends

When bad words
Have no meaning anymore
And all males
Learn the meaning of respect
When people think about
What they're living for
And start doing things correct

When my tears stop falling
When I watch the news
Three young girls raped
One body found dead
When the word you "Tried"
Councils out you "lose"
When bad thoughts choose
To leave my head

When I see no stripers
On the streets
No 13 year old getting crunk
No homeless people
Looking for something to eat
No minds that always seem drunk

No war, no gangs, no guns on the road
When I see these things
Have started to sooth
I'll believe deep down
In my heart
In The Moment of Truth

This is an excellent poem. Your right it will be good for all this violence and gang banging to stop. But unfortunately it will never stop. People are just too blind to see that the world would be better off in peace. They think violence and drugs are the answers. That's why we fillin up the graveyards and prisons. So the most we can do is preach to people that this is not the answer to our problems. BTW again this is an excellent poem. Keep up the good work.
