More Than Words Can Say

by Amani   Dec 25, 2007

You sheltered me, provided me
With all the things I needed
You loved me, cared for me
And in all ways succeeded

You nurtured me, listened to me
Heard all I had to say
You looked after me, worked hard for me
Gave all your sleep away

You encouraged me to dream
And keep my faith alive
You taught me how to be me
To live, and to survive

Your great everyday lessons
Have taught me to move on
And all the advice you've gave
Will last me a life time long

Is there even a way to be grateful?
To have a father, more valuable than gold
The most genuine, flawless father
Who can not be bought or sold

I don't know how to thank you
For giving me the time of day
The way I feel about you
Is much more than words can say

I think it's so amazing that you can say such great things about your dad.
I never got to experience this but reading something so sincere kind of gives me a feeling of what i missed. (5/5) Good luck in the future !
