If I Could

If I could paint the sky
it would be of her beautiful face,
I would realign the stars
and the planets in this empty space.

This overbearing weight that I have
is just tearing me apart,
the hole that she cut inside
has almost diminished my heart.

Its not easy bearing the words
when she told me she loved me not,
slowly my mind begins to realize
what it had only just forgot.

She wont ever feel this way
though I wish she would,
I wish I could end this pain
if only my heart could.

These words that I say
you've always known was true,
even though you don't
I will always be in love with you.

    One of the hardest things to know in life is knowing that the feelings you have for someone else cannot be returned. This was a really touching yet sad poem.
