Existence

by Michael D Nalley   Dec 13, 2006

Matter plus energy equals existence
Though it seems light must meet resistance
Mind in matter, matter in mind
Seeing only dark love is blind

That is as original as the original sin
Truth is eternal, but where does it begin?
You expect me to create the truth, but I can't
All that I can really do is write this rant

The Son was mortally wounded yet God heals
The Sacred Heart gives what the Spirit feels
The Trinity forgives with divine grace
That will lift us up to a heavenly place

As sure as the celestial sun rises, and sets
God's orderly direction is what man forgets
Illusions are created as man's mind expands
Growing farther from the laws he understands

Creatures are flawed without any exemption
Do they look to mother nature for redemption?
If we are not to rot then we must be burned
Salvation of a soul cannot be earned

The simple logic that must not be dismissed
Is if I have no Father how may I exist
Time can't be measured that has no shore
The earth claims what it gives but can't claim more
