Society's Problem

by Chloe   Dec 15, 2006

Two people from two different worlds, we wasn’t mean to be,
Or at least that’s what society believes,
Why can’t they understand the way we feel?
Why can’t they understand that you’re everything to me?
They say we’re too different; they try and split us apart,
But no matter how they try, they’ll never take you from my heart.
We’ll show them one day, one day they’ll see,
Whatever our age and colour, we were meant to be.
Inside we’re the same, no difference at all,
Look on the inside; it’s his name my heart calls.
The world can believe what it wants to believe,
But when you run out of faith, think of him and me.
We stand against the accusations, the threats and the pressure,
Together we will be together forever.
If society can’t open its eyes to the way we feel,
Don’t expect us just to change; this love is for real.
If religion is a problem, age and race too,
How can we share this world, how can I share it with you?
We won’t give up, we won’t give in,
Even if this fight we cant win.
Believe us when we say, ‘we gonna stick together’,
Believe us when we say ‘our love is forever’.
