The Girl Behind The Book

She hides behind the book
And she covers up her face
I try to be nice to her
And put myself in her place

She doesn't have many friends
And she's okay with how she looks
She understands no one likes her
But she keeps her nose in that book

She is the smartest girl in class
But she keeps her opinions in her mind
She doesn't like to speak up
And to notice her, no one has the time

She has made up a fantasy land
A land where everything is great
A land with the characters from her book
A land where there is no hate

She understands no one likes her
And she's okay with how she looks
She doesn't have many friends
But she keeps her nose buried in her book
