A Mile In My Shoes

by Zoe   Dec 20, 2006

Walk a mile in my shoes
And see what its like
To be alone and unloved
Every single night

No ones hand
Held in your own
No kisses received
And no kisses blown

Walk a mile in my shoes
And hurt just like I do
When you need to hear it the most
No one is there to say "I love you"

Watch a movie
While you're all alone
Never talk to someone special
Over the telephone

Walk a mile in my shoes
And feel the pain I have felt
Unable to change
The lonely life you've been dealt

All your friends have partners
Smiling all the time
As a tear rolls down your cheek
You're forced to say "I'm fine"

Walk a mile in my shoes
See what I have gone through
Looking stupid as you pretend
To say "I love you too"

No one to share with
No one special at all
No one to wipe your tears
As they stain your face and fall

Walk a mile in my shoes
Pretend your head is still high
Don't act like you spend all your time
Wishing you could die

No fingers that fit
In the spaces between yours
No one to pull out chairs
No one to open doors

Walk a mile in my shoes
And see what its like
To be alone and unloved
Every single night
