Hide in your own laughter

Someone i don't know someplace that is new
Someone that talks to cover the war waging inside of them
they joke and look happy from every appearance
when they're all alone the sit solemn,
dry eyes,
staring into the air
really looking at nothing but seeing everything
replaying that day in their mind,
picking out those times when they were on the verge of screaming almost laughing at the crazy lies spun by all that time laughing at themselves
the pure depression that cant be put into one word
the kind that causes pain
it hurts your mind makes your throat hurt
tightens your muscles
turns your skin white and makes you veins ache for air
makes you cry at the worst times, suddenly flushing your skin and embarrassing you
longing to just curl up,
holding on tight around your knees
and hide in a dark corner
you don't want to talk,
but you need to tell someone everything
hold nothing back and just pour your soul into their body
what's wrong?
Family is distant,
unobservant
friends seem few,
uncaring
life feels empty,
untrue.
