I'm Sorry Mom

by Jackie*   Dec 24, 2006

You're there for me,
but I feel so alone.
You see me wasting away,
to just skin and bone.
You try to talk,
I turn my head.
You give me food,
I don't want to be fed.
You try to help me,
I push you away.
You offer a hug,
but I reach for the blade.
You try to understand,
as the razor inflicts pain.
You try not to watch,
as I cut into my vein.
You look away,
as the blood drips down.
You try to catch me,
as I fall to the ground.
You try to hold me,
my hands turn cold.
You have to accept,
that I'll never grow old.
You try to save me,
as I slip away.
You realize,
I won't see another day.
You pray,
I bleed.
You scream,
as I'm freed.
