Sunless Sky

by Jackie*   Dec 24, 2006

Although it is daylight,
I see only dark.
Distress fills my soul,
despair left it's mark.
With your departure,
you took with you my heart.
How can I go on?
Where do I start?
Now that you're gone,
my days are bleak.
I try to feel alive,
by drawing a crimson streak.
I act like I'm okay,
but that's just a big lie.
How could I be happy
living in a world with a sunless sky?

    You're a good writer,
it's nice to see something actually written to make sense and not just to rhyme for a change.
