Growing up

Your childhood goes by so quickly
One day you're a kid
The next thing you know you're a teen
And in what feels like a blink of an eye
Your saying goodbye to your parents
Your off to college and into the real world

I'm still in high school
But ill be graduating next year
And it will be my turn to become a "grown up"
everything's going to be changing
I'm going to be living on my own
No more parents telling me what to do
Its what most of us dream for
But I'm scared

Not only am I gonna be leaving my parents
I'm gonna leave all my friends too
Its gonna be so hard without all of them
Yea we can call each other all the time
But eventually it will go from a phone call every day
To one every couple days
To maybe if your lucky once a month

I don't want to lose my friends
They are the ppl that make me who I am
Without them I wouldnt be whole
I love them all soo much
And I'm gonna miss them

I'm gonna miss
All the crazy sleepovers
All the inside jokes
all the broken hearts that need healing
But I'm gonna especially miss
That feeling of knowing
That they are always gonna be there for you
Cuz they're just a short walk away

Ill never forget any of you
I wont forget CAT and her craziness
I wont forget JESSICA and her shyness
I wont forget KRISTEN and her ability to flirt with every guy
And I wont forget COURTNEY "my love muffin" and all those great FFA trips together

Even though I'm scared
I know ill be able to "grow up"
Cuz all my friends will be there for me
Giving me the strength to move on in life
Ill always be there for all of you
no matter how far apart life takes us
Ill love you guys forever
