Tragedy

by Natalie Oldham   Dec 31, 2006

I look up from my spot,
Its a terrible mess,
I see lots of people,
Now childless.

I think of my child,
In terrible pain,
I think of my child,
Screaming my name.

I see the state,
Of this tragedy struck land,
So I decide,
To lend a hand.

I help all,
People dying,
Then I hear it,
My child is crying.

She runs up to me,
Through all the rubble,
So I give her,
A heart-felt cuddle.

Then I realise,
Shes weak at heart,
Surely the hospital,
Can't be far.

But on the way,
I'm sad to say,
My little girl,
She passed away.

Shes gone from mind,
But not at heart,
I know my little girl,
Hasn't gone far.

I am happy,
Although I'm sad,
Because she lived a life,
Only she could of had.

This poem is made up, however,
people do suffer from this, and all we can do is sit and watch. Think, you need to help.
