What are you waiting for?

by Tim   Jan 1, 2007

A new year,
12 new months,
52 new weeks,
365 new days,
And yet i have no hope.

We don't need another,
Day, week, month or year cause,
The human race is degrading,
Every second and minute,
Is spent in pursuit of personal greed.

When the world is run,
By morons, businesses and "holy" men,
We cannot progress, cannot evolve,
Because the leaders care not about their fellow man,
But about money and "salvation" by an invisible deity.

Men and women are willing,
To commit horrible acts,
In the hope of gaining,
Ever lasting life...well ladies and gentlemen,
It is not going to happen.

Now that I've painted this bleak picture,
What are you going to do?
Rise up my fellow man, make a difference,
This world doesn't have to be corrupt,
One person CAN and WILL make change, just try.

History has shown it's possible to beat it,
Beat the cycle of corruption, poverty and violence,
It starts with individuals,
And finishes with a better society,
So what are you waiting for?
