Death and Life

by Flying Phoenix   Jan 2, 2007

Twisting lives, fragile ends
Morbid colours catch the sunbeams
In the frozen deathly light
Fragile frames mark the way

Skeleton limbs scratch the sky
Harsh against the ground they lie
Shelter lost, none to find
Alone here
Alone for time

Ink black birds fly with haste
Screaming crows, barren waste
Thunderclaps
Lightening strikes
Death has struck
And lingers

Fall upon here where I
Watch the unforgiving sky
Steal a glance of nature's whim
Stab at life, kill him

Covering the path of dead leaves
I lie among the frozen trees
Watch my icy breath seep away

Goodbye to life
Goodbye I say
