Yesterday's Sorrow

by Mommy And Me   Jan 3, 2007

Yesterday’s Sorrows

Tears staining porcelain cheeks
Sleepless nights, with old memories
Mr. Big, and a this tiny red bear
I sleep with them every night

On this couch, you held me as I cried
Told me everything would be alright
That no matter what, you were here for me
And you always would be

Tears staining porcelain cheeks
As I look through these old photographs
Smiling faces, and shining eyes
We were so happy way back when…

You had stolen my heart,
Then corrupted my mind
But today it all changes
Today I become my own girl

Yesterday’s Sorrow, is a distant memory
For I will smile, and be myself once more
No more tears, no more regret
Only memories, of happy days

For Yesterday’s Sorrow, is a distant memory
And no more will I suffer
Only will I grow
To the girl I once was

~this poem is about my best friend who has lost her bf a few months ago... she still has not made it to the end of this poem but one day she will be able to smile like she once did. i have faith~
