Ever so Strange

by Iola   Jan 3, 2007

Three decades of lives lived well,
But not many lessons learned.
A mind and body that know how to dwell,
But forever a soul that yearns.

A ray of light every now and then,
Blue eyes that beg for change.
Hearts that keep asking why and when,
Seasons of love so strange.

Shells sing echos in our ears,
Forever is only a day.
Why give in to all our tears,
If nothing here is ever away?

In my world or on my heart,
The same or a different scene?
Eternally close or always apart,
Pondering what could have been...
