And now it seems your halo has become your noose

by Derek Walden   Jan 4, 2007

Bodies dance like leaves in fall
Shrouded in the dead light I see you
I'll give you a smile then slink away into darkness
I watch
I feed my cancer as my body rapes me
Lips are smiling, eyes are screaming
Creation born of chaos
Black rose within a tomb
Beautiful flowers burn
Darkening in bloom
There is no such thing as sunshine
Sky draws inwards
When you see the yellow in my eyes
Please know its just the death in my veins
How bitter is this eldritch sea eternal
When no one goes home
Breathing life through a chain
Eating death till I'm sane
Now I'm whole
But am I me again
When you forget you're alive you can see the
Violence without the crime
Staring in the mirror, I watch a monster die
Memory tearing open a whisper
Shadow folding in upon an echo of a dream
Desert roses rust
Under a December summer sun
Why do you cry my martyr?
I saw her face inside hollow eyes
Tender angel
Hides in a drop of silver
Dies in sunlight...
