Angel wings

by Midnight suicide   Jan 4, 2007

It started out with a night like this
The kind of rain you cant miss
The kind of rain you just dont drive in
With one mistake, you may never see live again
I told you to trust me and Id be home ok
But that didnt happen and I wont see another day
Youre standing above the grave, crying your eyes out
Asking god Why, whats this all about
Whyd u have to take him from me now
How am I sapost to live with out him. How
Live went on and she tried to too
She knew he was gone and there was nothing she could do
A few years later there was another stormy night
She was going to New York but they canceled her flight
On her way home it got worse and worse
She seen her husbands cross, she couldnt help it, she burst
While the tears were strolling done she hydroplaned
She knew this would happen, she shouldnt have been in the rain
When she finally stop sliding she looked up and seen lights
The truck was coming right at her and she filled with fright
She had already fainted before the truck hit her
It was many days after she awoke with a blur
The doctors told her how dead she should be
She seen pictures of the crash and she didnt believe
They said the truck driver seen her to late to do anything
And hed seen something covering you like angels wings
The police found this in your passenger seat
And handed her note all white and neat
She opened it up and read it to herself
When she got done she cried tears she couldnt help
For this is what the letter had said
This is the reason she is not dead
You dont have to worry about a thing
You wont feel no more of this pain
You dont have to worry about a thing
You are guarded by my angels wing
