My little brother

An alcoholic father and step mom,
a brother to be raised.
I fulfilled that job,
and my family was amazed.
He was only a year younger then me,
but he had not yet had to see.
See what our dad was like when he was drunk
Our dad was nothing but a punk.

One more beating from my dad.
i don't kno what i did to make him so mad.
Going into one more wall,
and then this time i finally did fall.
When i did fall it just made him more mad.
next thing i hear is my lil bro say, Hey dad.
my heart dropped and deep did it sink.
i couldn't even start to think.
think of what my dad was going to do,
i just had no clue.
So i ran and grabbed my lil bro,
bcus my dad was movin kind of slow.
I grabbed his coat,
and left with out a word or a note.
I didn't want my little brother to get beat,
Just as i, just like a piece of meat.

I took my brother away
just waiting for another day.
My face was bruised and battered,
but to me that is not what mattered.
My lil bro was the one who mattered to me,
so i chose to grab him and flee.
I fled to a friends house and looked in the mirror.
My little brother held so dearer.
so glad that it didn't happen to him.
he mostlikely would have broken a limb.
I got him out of that horrid place,
and in return i finally got a case.
A case against our alcoholic dad,
and that made me so glad
I finally got him out and together, we won,
and so now... i am finally done.
