My life prison (extended and edited)

by Tamsin   Jan 9, 2007

Tears through the hourglass
Mirrors in ceaseless sorrow
Infinity reflects, jeering
This is forever
Yesterday, today and tomorrow

Sand streams, delicately filters
Each particle a single scar
Reminders of refused escapes
Tainted crimson
Punishment for fleeing to far

Swallowed up in deafening silence
Thought sifts through pain
Tracing footsteps
Chasing dreams
I fall behind, just myself to blame

I created my life prison
My choices shaped the glass
Bars and shackles
Limits, confines
I can never pass...
