With Poppy

I can't imagine what heaven is like.
You're there right now watching me.
You've done a lot to help me through.
And now your soul has been set free.

Only God knows how I love y'all so.
Only He knows I pray for you much.
He is who helped me not cry for you.
Though I still missed your touch.

Silver hair seated upon your head.
You rocked that old small rocking chair.
Poppy sat right next to you peacefully.
I really wished I could have been there.

I'm sorry I didn't get to see you.
Hug you before you flew away.
I told you I loved you before you did.
And I live with solace everyday.

Next I'll see you in my eyes.
When the gates open up for me.
You'll be smiling with your heart.
And flying by with my Poppy.

    This is a really sweet poem. Everybody has lost somebody dear to them along the way and it hurts deep inside. We just have to stay strong knowing we'll one day be reunited with them. Excellent poem 5/5 the flow was great
