My best friend

Its only been just over a year ,
but shes become my best friend.
We write to each other all the time ,
our new friendship i hope will never end.
She lives in my old street ,
we used to smile and say hello.
In all the years i lived there ,
its a shame we never got to know.
Shes funny ,kind and caring ,
all a best friend should be.
We have so much in common ,
she now means alot to me.
