Tasteless Life

by KeyxMashingxParody   Jan 10, 2007

The smell of eroding hearts fills the sky,
Smog and soot cover them as they die.
A lifeless body in a lifeless crowd,
Though he is dead,
his mind thus doubt.
Souls wonder into a state of immortality,
The dried blood and ashes are all they can see.
To become a spirit in a sense of fate,
Though death despise them,
It's life they hate.
No more pain in a pessimistic world,
A family broken,
A forgotten moral.
What the world has become,
What people have made it,
To die so young,
The urge to hate it.
It fills your lungs,
And covers your soul,
Tasteless blood on your tongue,
Your body grows old.
To die, to die,
Death to dream,
COME SWEET CHARIOT!
And rescue me!
As the smell of eroding hearts fills the sky,
FINALLY! It's my time to die.

The only really poignant thing about this one was the energy in the last half dozen lines. Not even just the caps, but the repetition, etc. I don't know... it was a little sad for me, but I can see the effort in it. It's good, but not one of my favourites. 4/5
