I want to stay

by Karin Erlacher   Jan 11, 2007

Reality conquers my fantasies.
I look into your eyes and see...
I see the devotion and hope,
The days I'm gone, you mope.
Every ounce that your heart weighs
Doubles with love over the days.
The smiles that glow on your face
Are embedded and can't be erased.
I know you hurt when I leave.
You stare and beg me... "Please?"
I look deep in you and then I know
You're really here and won't ever go.
I tell myself that I need to stay.
I need to stop pushing you away.

Hmm, I didn't like this one as much as some of your other stuff. Maybe you should try dividing it up into stanzas, to make it a little easier on the eyes. Also, your rhymes seemed kind of forced, as if they don't fit properly.
