Giving up

by Tamsin   Jan 13, 2007

*This is not really in any form or rhyme, just rather flows from start to end...*

I've stopped caring
Because to live just for those around you
Those who would hurt if you went
Is no way to live
I have stretched far beyond my capacity
For struggle, pain and trials
Finally it has snapped
This rope tying my to feeling
Overcome by weariness
I have been defeated
And nothing matters to me anymore
I don't care if I hurt you -I'm too tired
Besides don't you think you've hurt me enough already?
I don't care what happens to me now
Do what you want -I'm not here anymore
My body is empty, my soul has died
It doesn't hurt
Nor does it make me sad
I'm not angry, just tired
But the weight of emotion has been lifted
And I'm free
It's easier not to feel
It's easier not to care...

That poem was great, depressing, but it's supposed to be. It had a really nice flow also, *Thumbs up*
