ThE rEGrEt of My LIfe

Oh, how he shouldnâ??t have got so angry,
and sped up 6 cylinder car.
He didn't realise how much it had a hold of him,
and that he would take it so far.

His temper increased with every insult she shot out,
his blood boiling with momentary rage
She shrieked for him to slow down,
but this chapter was on it's last page.

He tried to overtake a truck,
because he thought it might make her stop.
And the last thing he heard was the cry of his little girl,
that made his stomach do flip-flops.

He woke up to the smell of disinfectant,
and the whiteness of a room.
And his first thought to his child and wife,
and the un-born one in her womb.

The nurse's kindly eyes said nothing,
but he started screaming.
"Please dear god, don't let this be the regret of my life,"
but he wasn't asleep and dreaming.

For one second of momentary rage,
he had ruined every single thing he held near.
And he remembered how he child and wife looked,
and release a crystal tear.
