Drowning In Apathy

by My Decadent   Jan 18, 2007

I can hear her sobbing in the quiet dark,
I can feel the faint beat of her heart...

Static eyes staring empty at the floor -
Spiderwebs adorning her broken core,
"All good things to those who wait" they say,
But it's just another lie, 'cause she waited every day.

The room decaying - her chains now rusted,
Her once graceful skin now stained and dusted;
With each second she dies a bit more,
Drowning in apathy and slowly getting sore...

The sun rays feel like poisioned darts of fire -
You said you'll love her always, liar!
Lies that turn to dust alike her broken heart
As you left her all alone in the quiet dark...

I can hear her whispering in the hollow night,
I can feel her giving up on this fight...
