Night Walks

by Jenn   Jan 19, 2007

In the darkness I become alive
I tuck the truths away in the pockets of my coat
Retreating down the cold steps to my unknown fate
This qualm of mine
A sense of believing
That anything can change
Grows like a little baby in the pit of my stomach
I walk the vacant streets
Until at last I stop
And my arm lifts up high and the stars fade into the black
As I wave and hope
Wave and hope
That today is just another day-
But tomorrow will be like no other

I love this piece, so beautifully written. I can completely relate, it's so soothing to walk. Nicely done! :)
