Didn't Love Her

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Jan 19, 2007

She just broke down again
For the fifth time today
No one can feel her pain
And there's nothing no one can say

She cries until no one can see
The mask that she puts on
She knows no one believes
When she tells them "nothing's wrong"

She hangs her head towards the ground
And wraps her arms around her chest
She listens without hearing a sound
Focussing on her heart that's compressed

She seats herself in a sheltered room
Hidden from everyone's view
She acts as though she is consumed
So no one questions what she's about to do

She's been throwing the thought around in her mind
Thinking of the happiness at the other end
Watching the rope as it intertwines
This dangerous weapon will soon be her friend

She smiles as she steps onto the chair
Knowing this is what she deserves
She stepped forward as the rope cut off the air
She died knowing you didn't love her
