We are true

by Gracie   Jan 20, 2007

The wind is cold
None of us are old

We were sons and
We were daughters

We are Fathers and
We are Mothers

We were lovers
to others

Now only one title holds true
The one for me and you
We are soldiers, we are true

But sitting here
as the day draws near

We put away our pain
For we have something to gain

The right to live in peace
The right to be free
The right not to live in fear
of someone taking from
us what we hold dear

So stand behind us
Or stand in front

Cause we're not leaving
till we kick Iraq's butt
