Fallen Star

I once was a star,
Way up high.
Hey...I could even touch the sky,
To make it better I could see all below.
I knew I was above the influence,
I knew not to give in to peer pressure.
But one thing I did not realize is that my own confidence would bring me down.
Down as far as I could go,
I could see nothing below me.
I was the lowest on the reality-chain,
But there was no one to blame.
But myself. My idiotic self, I never realized that the day I chose to make that simple minded mistake that would bring me down as far as I could ever go. It took all my dignity, it even took all my pride.
I once was a star,
Way up high,
You know, I could even touch the sky.
But I am no longer way up there,
I have fallen...and
I know exactly why.
