Stolen Conscience

by sweet_rebellion   Jan 22, 2007

My mind WAS mine
but times have changed
the thoughts that I had thought
have been re-arranged

I feel no pain
I have no guilt
you've stolen my conscience
my shame you've built

I try to run but cannot hide
it is MY soul you always find
I silently scream and gasp for breath
you have your grip on my fading mind

please loosen your grip
on my ailing life
but my conscience tells me...
to use the knife
