Behind Your Eyes

Let me see the world
With eyes like yours
What really lies behind
Those beautiful doors

Explain to me please
Your insightful visions
Let me see first hand
Your well planned collisions

Let me feel the emotion
That drowns your mind
As you live every sensation
For the first time

What were you thinking
When you first saw him
What are your thoughts
When you act on a whim

But as I request this
I soon begin to realize
I want to know your thoughts
Not see through your eyes

I guess I really wanna see
What's behind your eyes
How do you interpret things
When not in disguise

Explain to me please
Not insightful visions
Rather your journey
Your minds one mission

    Now that m'dear... is one amazing piece of poetry...

    I love it! I like the way you build up to wanting to know their thoughts, not wanting to see through their eyes. My favorite stanza is:
    \"Let me feel the emotion
    That drowns your mind
    As you live every sensation
    For the first time\"

    Nice imagery- drowning in emotion.

    And btw, in my \'snafu\' poem, snafu is an acronym that stands for \"situation normal all fouled up\" (or sometimes f*d up but ya know....) basically just that everythings always a mess.

    I think it's great. Honestly, though I'm a bit confused. Why did you ask, "what were you thinking when you first saw him?" cuz aren't you wanting to get into HIS mind..so wouldn't it be more like "what were you thinking when you first saw me?" I don't know, I think I'm misinterpreting it so would you please help out the hopeless blonde here and explain it to me? Thanks!
