You where Here

by Autumn   Jan 24, 2007

The pillow speaks to me
in a haunted voice,
And the sheets hold the memories of unspoken words.
My mind still keeps the beauty of long ago happiness,
and I'm reminded of the pain you left behind with every breaking dawn,
the tears gliding down my face whisper that it's over now.
I sit here alone but the ghosts of us dance around me to a silent song.
Even the darkness once my only comfort now sings of broken dreams,
the rain falling upon this shattered soul cries your on your own.
And lying here now as i struggle through the pain I finally see.....

I can't let it go because it's you,
you where here!
