Your Absence

by Kenz   Jan 25, 2007

This subtle silence.
Its killing me.
This constant quiet.
Its torturing me.

Could you not speak one word.
Whether it be of anger or hate.
I care not.
One word is all I ask.

I feel as if I owe you.
As if I deserve this pain.
Was i so wrong.
To believe in you?

Your vow of silence.
Was it for me?
Or was it for yourself.
What did you think it would accomplish?

I will admit.
I do not feel any better.
I feel neglected.
And even ignored.

I'm dying here.
Not knowing.
What you're thinking.
Or how you feel.

You once loved me so.
Did you forget me?
Am I just a lost memory?
Do you remember me at all?

I hope this absence of communication.
Is doing you well.
But I'm going crazy.
It does me no good.

This subtle silence.
Its killing me.
This constant quiet.
Its torturing me.
