Capturing Seasons

The snow may fall,
And freeze this empty heart of mine.
To call upon another downfall,
That these bloodstained walls confine.

The rain may pour,
And drench me in guilt.
For another heart I broke or tore,
And the heartache that I built.

The wind may blow,
And run from love.
The traitors faces aglow,
From so far above.

No fire could ever melt,
Couldn't compare to this freezing hell.
No one could feel anything I've felt,
Because I've lived inside this shell.

No death would bring release,
No temptation is worth the pain.
The morning fog has long deceased,
To resolve what no one can explain.

I am the only star,
The only light to guide the way.
The flaming fierce fires char,
All these hearts that went astray.

Knocking on the back door,
Refusing to find the front.
Falling through an opaque floor,
And seize that moment.
