Fogged Glasses Pt. 2

by Jenni   Jan 29, 2007

The shadows have faded; the sun is at bay
I am still wondering how long he will stay.
His dark hair covers his breath taking blue eyes,
I blush and look away at the fading skies.
The purple is fading and the half-moon shines
My nose is tickled by the scent of green Pines.
Our eyes lock together for just a second
There's a hint in his that calls me to beckon.
He whispers in my ear, "Let's look at the stars,
maybe we can find one that we can call ours."
I smile and grasp tightly onto his hand,
we are alone in the quiet medowland.
Through his glasses I can see a strong smile
I have no doubt that this was worthwile.
We find a place together in the green grass
Not caring about how much time will pass.
The cotton wood tree rustles once again
He protects me from the shadows and cold wind.

Very nice. Liked the imagery you had going on in this, it worked well.
The flow was good, but I did stumble on the 8th line, maybe it's a little too wordy??
Also, on the third line, it would read better as "breath-taking".
But overall a very catchy piece. It was a nice read.

Very cute. You have quite the imagination and way with words. I love the details. Great.
