Best Friends 'Til The End

by Amanda Smith   Apr 2, 2004

You are my very best friend
Friends 'til the end
The end of our days
The end of our plays

As we grew older
The things we started to learn
People don't always like you
Trust not every person
Don't give into pressure
Be yourself
and in return

In return you'll be happy
Happy of the days
The days you were smart
and were being insane

As our lives went on
The feelings we started to feel
We felt alone
Like no one knew
So we did what we thought would do
Do the job
And end this life
End it with all might

We were best friends
Friends since two
So take it out
Ever so true
Take ourselves
Away from this portrait
Make a portrait of our own
A portrait of friendship
A portrait of tears
A portrait through all the fears

You were my best friend
The way we wanted to go
Was together
But I should have known
Living is a challenge
The hardest you'll ever know
But when you give up
You'll go to places unknown

So we took our lives not thinking of the price
Best friends 'till the end
The end has come too soon
But you are my best friend
And I want to be with you.
