I AM RICH

by tlangelani   Jan 30, 2007

No I do not have a cent in my pocket
I do not live in a mansion
Nor do I have a car
I still wake up to the sounds of cocks in the morning
I still live to enjoy the sounds of overflowing rivers at the end of summer rainfalls
The rumblings of hungry and full cattle alike make my day
Mealie meal fills my stomach morning, day and night

But I still proclaim, I am rich
I have a heart and it loves selflessly
I have a mind, it thinks
I have a soul, it is soulful and will live on forever
I have GOD whose love is selfless, eternal and enriches

Like sheep in fertile land without a shepherd
Money without the maker breeds madness
I chose to be rich
