Tempus vernum

by resisting reason   Jan 30, 2007

Tempus vernum
the time for new life
a long awaited exit from the cold winter night
as the flowers start to grow
and the weather gets warmer
you suddenly realize
summers right around the corner
where did it go
it seems to have melted right with the snow
as you sit and wish you hadn't wasted your time
you look out the window
the trees give you a sign
the leaves
they've already changed
for the time lost
your the one to be blamed
now as the leaves fall
winter comes and ends
and thats when you know
your about to do it again
