Life Threads and Heartstrings

by Sam Richards   Jan 31, 2007

Tie my flailing heartstrings down
Through the eye of a needle
Concentrate, be careful now
Dont fray it more than already done

Run your poison fingertips
Down the vulnerable vein
Inside it pulsing picturesque pillars
Of a desire, destroyed by reality

Bind them together,
My broken heartstrings and your innocently dangerous tentacles
They will electrify, fry and scald beyond belief
Purify me of my hopeless taintless dreams

Inside me burns a stronger streak
That welds together our forever running
Threads of life, destinies entwined
Through bridges I depend on

Like weak moss on a tree trunk
My heartstrings and threads will never leave you
But your branches harshly cut them down
Apologetically, contritely brutal
