I have fallen in love with a devil.

by Run out of words   Jan 31, 2007

All of a sudden one day,
in came a blaze.
The hot wind blew in from every way,
and put me into a daze.
I was in my class,
all innocent and simple.
It pierced me like glass,
even caused a dimple.

I have fallen in love with a devil,
and little did I know.
That the devil was poisoning me,
nice and slow.

Every sunday we met,
and he was sweet and kind.
It was the perfect set,
he has messed with my mind.

He sends out blazes,
which burn my heart.
And he gives me gazes,
not knowing what he has done on his part.

I know it's so wrong,
we are totally different.
But there is nothing more I've wanted in so long,
than this love so dangerous yet innocent.

I'm thinking by now that your probably confused,
the way I was when our hearts fused.
And though his heat causes me so much pain,
He still lures me back though I have nothing to gain.

I have fallen in love with a devil,
but don't be fooled.
The devil isn't him,
the devil is a tool.
I have fallen in love with a devil,
the devil merely represents my love.
So basically I have fallen
in love with his love.

The emotion and feeling is always great in your poems. My only suggestion is that at times the poem loses fluency when you try to force a rhyme that might not be there. Other than that superb job.
