When will the world understand?

Can it ever bring about good?
Can it ever come to an end?
Will one side ever back down?
Will either admit defeat?
What will become of this world,
as we continue to kill our own?
Pitting ourselves against the other,
fighting for control.
How much blood will it take,
to bring the world to peace?
How many rivers have to flow?
whilst we wage war on those who don\\\'t know why,
whilst we massacre those who were born that way.
How much fire has to rain from the skies?
How much metal has to hit the meat?
Everyday we strive to keep the planet alive,
every day a child dies.
When will we be teaching
about guns in schools?
when will they learn to use them?
Why does one man have to be the dominant king?
Why does one man have to have control?
Everything is falling apart,
this world is losing its edge.
Our lives themselves become meaningless,
merely tools for dictators to use.
When will all go down,
down to two men standing?
When will the world learn?

That war will make corpses of us all
