Through Days of Sorrow

by Disturbed and Under Age   Feb 3, 2007

Darkness black
as vile grime
jealous hatred
old as time
faceless pain
inside a shell
driven insane
towards pointless hell
seeping blood
from deep inside
anger, angst
and pain denied
skin and bones
upon an altar
heathen prayers
never falter
only halt her
in the deep abyss
of lonliness
devoid of hope
it wants a rope
around the neck
of a broken wreck
that weeps at night
in desprate flight
from constant fears
and pain that sears
a beating heart
torn apart
with dying sighs
born of murderous lies
choking on air
forget she's there
with no goodbyes
to witness the cries
of silver ghosts
floating soft
through days of sorrow
that cannot borrow
from memories past
that refuse to last
and cannot swallow
the gasps that follow
everlasting tears
and forever wallow
in haunted mirrors.
