God Only Knows

God only knows what happened to us
wheather it was love or was it just lust
God only knows what we could have been
why it went so far just to end.
God only knows why he gave us a son
just to say "Thats enough, thats it, you're done."
God only knows why I must still hurt
and you're over there showing the world a big smirk
God only knows when I'll be ok
Will it be tomorrow, next week or forever and a day?
The one thing I know is that I must go on
and that what we once had will forever be gone.
