Desires

by TheWorldFellNUWerentThere   Feb 5, 2007

((Okay this is about little 5 year old girl that lost her father to the World Trade Center and doesnt want to believe that her father died, and still waiting for her father to call. In the end, she knows she has to accept the fact.))

A desire to know,
If he even cares,
A desire to know,
If he received her prayer.

She desires to know who he is,
Desires to dream,
He's so afar,
And nothing is what it seems.

She wants to know,
If he care about her,
One day he'll may make her whole,
She just wants to make sure.

Of all her desires, she wants one to fall,
She just wants one wish to come,
She wants just one phone call,
Her father saying he's coming home.

*Okay, I changed it and it sounded better from the first person that commented this poem. Thanks!!*

She desires to know who he are,
^ That didn't make much sense to me.
    And,
    If he care about her,
    ^ That should be cares.

    Other than those two.
I think you did a good job. :]
The last stanza was a bit iffy.
    But, it was still good.
    Brought the poem together.
Honestly, without the last stanza, I'm sure ANYONE could relate to it.
Becuase, it gives no direct desire, just needing a father.
I think you did a great job.
I've yet to write of the twin towers.
    I want to though.
    Good Job, Hun.
    I liked it. 5/5
