Don't Know How It Happened But I Love It

Never thought we would be this close
I remember trying to hate you
that was a big mistake
there's nothing about you that I hate or would ever wanna hate
I was young and stupid then
close minded to other peoples' beliefs I guess you could say
but religion is not the basis of this friendship
I love you for who you are
whether I agree with you about everything in life or not
we're not supposed to be identical
that would be so boring
don't change for anyone
be who you are and love that person
and remember I'm never gonna leave
you're stuck with me till the end of time
maybe it was fate, maybe it was destiny or maybe it was just plain luck
that you and I became friends
whatever it was, I'm thankful it happened
and I wouldn't change it for the world
when all else fails, you got me.
